Future by Lund in spaces at Scheelevägen
Future by Lund has moved into Castellum's property at Scheelevägen 16. In the house has Castellum since earlier establishing Mobility innovation arena (MIA) in cooperation with Smarter Mobility. MIA is both a physical place where companies can rent workplaces and a platform for innovation and business development in sustainable mobility. In the ground floor of the same house there is the premises previously used in the electric road project. It is in this location that Future by Lund now has its operations, among other things, together with university LU Collaboration and The X-Plot.
- The venue is located in the middle of Lund's innovation area, close to major companies such as Axis Communications and Sony and to several of the major innovation players, continues Peter Kisch. We know that geographical proximity increases the contact and exchange between different activities, which in turn increases the power of innovation. We will sit at the centre of an area that is important to us as an innovation platform.
The new premises are located in Ideon's area, next door to Medicon Village and just a stone's throw away from the tram stops Ideontorget and Telefonplan.

The premises are well suited for working in project form in small rooms or sitting together around large tables and working. As usual, the green velvet sofas are in place, and even there it is possible to work for those who think it fits better.
- The premises give us the opportunity to work more collaboratively and across organisations, says project developer Katarina Scott. Here it is possible to work with many partners and groups in parallel and even to have space for project offices in some cases.
In order to create new contact areas, Future by Lund has over the years had premises in several different places in Lund. At its inception in 2013, Future by Lund was located in City Hall, in 2014 - 2017 at Ideon Innovation and in 2018 - 2019 in central Lund in the municipality's premises at Skomakaregatan and Vårfrugatan. In spring 2019 moved to Medicon Village at Scheelevägen 2 and in 2022 the new address became Scheelevägen 16.
